All About Me

My name is Heather Cull and I am originally from St. Lawrence, NL.

I graduated from Memorial University with a Bachelor of Arts (English/History, double major) and a Bachelor of Education (Intermediate/Secondary). I completed my Masters of Education in Teaching, Curriculum, and Learning (Focus in Language and Literacy) in 2010. I have contributed in many aspects to the English Language Arts curriculum in grades 7-12, having contributed to the development of the Senior High curriculum. I also have worked with the Department of Education on numerous occasions, helping them to develop alternative ways to assess a student's knowledge in the ELA classroom. You will see a couple of my videos on the Department of Education's website.

I started my teaching career at St. Joseph's Academy in September 2006 and have been happily employed there for fifteen years. I began coaching basketball while I was still in high school, and enjoyed doing that for many years. I am also currently the director of our Drama Troupe, SJA Cabaret. I also am the Grade 12 prom teacher coordinator. :)

In my spare time, I enjoy reading and writing, and hanging out with my family, especially my husband and our little girl, Gia.

If you would like to contact me, your best bet is to e-mail me and I usually respond within hours.

Have a wonderful school year!
