Congrats to our boys grade 9 team who won their provincials this weekend in Avondale. Our school partnered with HNMA of lawn to give these boys this great opportunity. They went 5-0 on the weekend.
Congrats to Evan Stacey, who was named the tournament MVP!
We’re thrilled to announce that SJA has received a $1,000 grant from Eastern Regional Wellness Coalition to support positive mental wellness throughout our school community!
This generous funding will help us bring Wellness Wednesdays to life for all students in grades K-12—a special time each week dedicated to promoting mental health, self-care, and meaningful connections.
With these funds, we’ll be purchasing a variety of wellness-focused items including:
Mindful coloring books
Outdoor seating
Board games & puzzles
Art supplies
...and much more to help students unwind and recharge.
Wellness Wednesdays will give students a much-needed break from academic pressures, allowing them to:
Explore calming, creative activities
Build strong peer relationships
Develop autonomy and healthy coping strategies
Discover leadership skills through leading or co-leading sessions
Grow in confidence and community spirit
We can’t wait to see our students thrive in this supportive and structured environment designed just for their well-being. Let’s keep creating a school culture where mental health matters!
